Smartphone world

Are smartphones getting in the way of people living real lives?

I read somewhere that kids in China or Southeast Asia forgot to eat lunch, completely absorbed with their Smartphone and some even stayed in the classroom- not realizing they could have left!
This has teachers in schools complaining of increasing discipline in class ever since young children started bringing mobile phones in. And is it true that children appear animated when using gadgets but distracted and nervous when they are cut off from the devices?

So what I want to know is should there be an age limit for children getting their first Smartphones

And do we need to limit the number of hours they can be on them. Do you have some stories to share about your children? Like do you allow them to use your mobile phone and if so – for how long?
